Would it be better if One is a Second/Later Child, IF The TWO Nations Are NOT TO Unite, But TO Ally.
I am also uncertain, about Jan Having Bright Blond Hair And Black Moustache.
But Why Are Both Jurij And Jan Caucasian, SO Far into a Future.
There could be more ethnic mingling in All The Different Nations/States, in this universe? If set far in a future.
I liked how each of the main protagonists has flaws in skills and abilities.
Though characters in comic stripes always look Toned, they need personal/character limitations, to be rounded
And the reader to root for them
only children; will unite.

why shouldn't they be? not many black people in Poland.
and more toned for being military
I think dark-toned Cossack is ethnically quite different from blonde Pole, for all they are both Caucasian. It’s far from homogenous.
