Harvey and the black hole

this is a children's story by my friend Heather; I did the illustrations for the covers and inside. Here is a sample:

One bright, sunny morning, Harvey the black Labrador went for a walk with his owner.

They went into an orchard, which was one of Harvey’s favourite walks. There were some very good smells and lots of interesting places.

In the middle of the orchard was a stream and this stream ran through a small wood. Harvey loved to play in this wood.

On this particular morning, Harvey found a very large hole in the ground. It smelled rather odd and was very dark inside.

Harvey trod forward carefully until his front paws were at the very edge. He stretched his nose towards the hole and sniffed. He could smell dead leaves and mould.

Just then, a rabbit jumped out of a nearby bush. It squeaked when it saw Harvey and twisted sideways before scampering away.

Harvey loved to chase rabbits! As he turned sharply to follow, the soft earth at the edge of the deep hole gave way beneath his paws.

Before he knew what was happening, Harvey was tumbling head over heels down the hole...

And if you want to know what happened to Harvey you will have to buy the book ... links below
