This is mostly for newer readers; because Blogger no longer sends out notifications, while I am on hiatus, if you want to go on my wip readers mailing list, drop me a line at sjwaldock@yahoo.uk, so I can add you and notify you when something new goes up.
I'm trying to catch up on things started and not be seduced by a mild satire on the gothic novel nor more Cobra stories.
Oh please do be seduced by more Cobra stories! Regards, Kim
ReplyDeleteKim! my muse is unruly as it stands! you are encouraging her in uncivil disobedience! uh, I might have started a new Cobra story.... and I can let you know that Willow's street name is 'Neon Flower.' I don't suppose anyone will get the reference; Beast in Black is quite a niche group, and it's from a line in the song 'one night in Tokyo' which is a beautiful pastiche of all the old anime tropes/computer games with many references to Akira. the female 'lead' is described as 'she was a neon flower'.
DeleteI like that she is Neon Flower. I had forgotten One Night in Tokyo but Cry out for a Hero (my personal favourite of theirs) would be a nice theme tune for Cobra. Regards, Kim
Deletethank you. Heh, that would be a good theme tune. I am sure you recognised 'blind and frozen' as the inspiration for the short story Winter Wolf - I know I posted it sometime here, it's waiting to go in an anthology
DeleteThat is another favourite song. I haven't played the Berserker album for a while, time to fish it out I think. Regards, Kim
Deleteabsolutely! I was playing it just the other day.
