ReplyDeleteAnd how interesting that a "bathing place evening dress" uses a fashionable imitation of the pantalette tradition - it could easily slip from invoking girlish innocence to being fashionably risque.
considering the inclusion of a bonnet and a scarf, I suspect it may have been mislabelled and should have been walking dress; it doesn't look like evening garb to me.
